From February 21 to March 15, 2015, the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum will host the exhibition “Accessories and more”. In the project partners are involved: All-Russian Decorative Art Museum, collectors A. L. Kusakin and G. I. Presnyakova and also three artists of the “East Meets West Gallery”.
Anna-Katya Taguchi’s world is represented by the series “Family Album”, where memorable and lovely things are stored: photos of close and distant relatives, who are often known from photographs only, collector’s stamps, handwritten notes, bills, badges, sometimes leaves dried for a memory about a wonderful walk in the forest or a park.
In Anna’s silk-screen printings on paper and panels images of many memorable for her things are used, but more often you will see photos of 19th century lace from the collections of the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna and the old lace accessories from the family collection.
